As a member of the CFA team as Operations Assistant you will be provide efficient and reliable administrative support, assisting the teams in the processing of tasks to ensure smooth running of the day-to-day operation in respect of compliance and client related service delivery. A look into the role

As an Operations Assistant within our CFA team, you will:

  • Be responsible for overall responsibility for the Client and Project journey for the CFA team, from client acceptance and take on, through to completion and knowledge capture stage.
  • Act as primary point of contact for departmental queries regarding Appian Client Take On processes, including providing updates on progress made and timescales for completion
  • Liaise with key stakeholders from the business, including Partners and Directors within and outside CFA, as well as Grant Thornton International firms
  • Build a strong, day to day working relationship with the wider Ethics and Take on functions
  • Escalate queries to the Operations team, or Ethics / Take on leads where required to ensure no delays to processes / progress
  • Build relationships across the Firm as required to deliver role effectively
  • Start new client acceptance and take on procedures whenever CFA pitches for new work
  • Liaise with overseas and UK teams to clear conflicts
  • Assist with completion of independence requirements and documentation
  • Update and maintain the CRM system with active opportunities and confirmed wins
  • Close down files accordingly, including initiating the relevant marketing processes
  • Working with our Quality and Risk Management team leads to ensure the CFA team are aware of client take on related changes
  • Set up, open and close client billing codes accordingly

Knowing you’re right for us

Joining us as a CFA Operations Assistant, the minimum criteria you’ll need is:

  • Ability to use basic Microsoft tools e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word

Skills to set you apart

  • Although not essential, previous administrative experience would be an advantage, as would experience with InterAction and Appian
