Relocating to the UK

We understand that relocating countries is a big move, and we'll be here to help you throughout the process. If you accept an offer with us, you will have access to our international onboarding site which will cover everything you need to know from visa's, flights and accommodation through to how to set up your gas and electricity suppliers, council tax and what to do about driving in the UK. In the meantime, here is a summary of the different support we offer to help with your relocation.

Audit Assistant Manager Duduzile relocated to the UK from South Africa in 2023, she shared her experience of the support she received and how she has settled into life in the UK. Her advice to others ‘It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity that anyone should grab with both hands’.

Getting settled

Wherever you join us you will be joining a diverse team, and with a growing international community there will be someone who has been through a similar experience to you. To help you get settled we arrange for you to have both a buddy and a culture buddy.

The role of your buddy is to help you get settled within your team, your buddy will usually be in the same team as you but may not be in your office. They will help you learn your way around the systems and processes, and help to answer any questions you may have.

Your culture buddy will usually be someone who has been through a similar experience to you, and who can help you adjust to life in the UK.

Everyone here is really friendly, and wants to help you succeed in your career here, so whoever you ask you'll get a helpful response.

We also have a WhatsApp group set up for all our international hires and a Teams channel. The discussions here range from where to find the best specific ingredients in a city, to people asking for help with school for their children or things to do on a weekend. Whatever your question, this is a safe space to ask.

Logistic Support

Once your visa has been approved, we'll book you a single one-way ticket from your home city to the host city or nearest airport here in the UK, as well as a taxi to collect you from the airport and take you to your accommodation.

We'll also arrange some temporary accommodation for you to stay in when you first arrive in the UK, this will be a commutable distance from your local office and will be close to amenities. This will help you get settled without additional stress, and will give you time to look for longer term accommodation once you are in the UK. As part of your onboarding process we'll also share links and resources with you to help you find longer term accommodation.

Expenses and monetary support

If your job offer includes a relocation allowance this will be discussed directly with you and in addition to this we also offer interest-free loans, and will pay expenses for different elements of your relocation. This will all be discussed with you in more detail if you are successful in receiving an offer.

We'll also help you get set up with a UK bank account. Once you have signed your contact, just let us know and we'll help you get the process started and fast tracked so that your bank account is set up and ready to go for when you arrive in the UK.
