As an Assistant Manager, you will play and exciting role in supporting the growth of a newly established Insurance Risk Management (IRM) practice at Grant Thornton

The primary objective of the role will be to provide assistant in delivering core risk management services to existing and prospective insurance (non-life and life) clients across the UK

A look into the role


As a Risk Management Insurance Assistant Manager within our Insurance Risk Management, you will:

  • Provide assistant to Grant Thornton’s IRM practice and cross-function team’s work on client projects and campaigns
  • Support the team to build relationships with stakeholders which includes clients, Directors and Partners within Grant Thornton.
  • Assisting the team in business development activities, client management, including assistant the team on budgeting, reporting within IRM.

Knowing you’re right for us

Joining us as a Risk Management Insurance Assistant Manager, the minimum criteria you’ll need is a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and either non-life or life insurance risk management. It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office incl. Microsoft teams
  • Experience in business advisory/ consultancy
  • Highly motivated and organised individual with the ability to assist the IRM on client projects at a time in a fast-paced environment
  • Anility to both effectively work independently and in a team/client setting
  • Exceptional interpersonal and analytical abilities including written and verbal communication skills.
