Enterprise applications
Our enterprise applications (EA) practice started in 2019 after we spotted a gap in the market with our existing clients, led by Mark O’Sullivan, Partner and Head of Technology and Digital Services.
They needed a high-quality Oracle implementation partner: one that was big enough to deliver complex projects with a global reach and accountancy skills, but small enough to have the flexibility for change. That is what our team delivers.
Our core focus is on advisory and project implementation services related to Oracle cloud applications and technology. We also provide enterprise resource planning (ERP) / human capital management (HCM) applications advisory consultancy more generally.
As part of the business consulting practice, we're able to support our clients beyond implementation by connecting them with colleagues across the firm.
But why join our team?
We think there are plenty of good reasons to join Grant Thornton, namely our culture and our approach to how we work, as well as the scope of opportunity you get as part of a global network of firms. If you work in Oracle implementation, there are three reasons:
- Variety of clients
Our clients only have one thing in common: they're implementing Oracle or an ERP. That's where the similarities end. We work with clients across sectors and of all shapes and sizes. Every project you work on will give you new challenges and broaden your experience. - Career development
Whether it’s upwards progression within the team, or lateral career moves within the firm, we support you to progress your career. This may be through continued learning when not on a live project, or opportunities to work with bigger clients or on more complex projects. We know that supporting the development of our teams will help us deliver the services we want for our clients. - Project scope
You won't be pigeonholed into one area of implementation: each project we deliver is different and we want you to continue to build your expertise. We want our teams to be well rounded and our people knowledgeable about the whole process. So if there's an area you're interested in, we'll work with you to help ensure you have exposure to this.
Don’t just take our word for it, our colleagues have shared their experiences:
From client to consultant
"For me, the main difference between being client-side and consulting is that, client-side, you’re always learning as you don’t know the product you're implementing. As a consultant, having worked on multiple implementations of the same product, I'm an expert in those areas but no two implementations are ever the same so it keeps it interesting."

"After working in Oracle consultancy for four-and-a-half years, I knew it was time for a change. While I really enjoyed the client interaction, I wanted more exposure to different types of clients than I was getting. So I joined Grant Thornton – and then the first project I did was with a multinational client in a completely different industry."
