How we’re boosting our people’s mental and physical health
After a successful moonwalk challenge to finish off 2020 (see video here), we announced the launch of Health Boost: a six-week programme where each week we’ll help our people keep focused on uplifting all areas of their personal health whilst staying connected, to be the strongest, most capable they can during difficult times.
Recent internal surveys show that our people have picked up unhealthy habits during lockdown last year, and especially having worked longer and harder, many of us have gradually become less active, fallen out of proper sleep patterns and slipped into unhealthy diet habits.
It's time to fix that!
The Health Boost programme aims to create positive and sustainable changes to habits and behaviours to uplift our people's mental and physical health. It’s designed to guide us towards a healthier lifestyle with focus on tackling stress triggers through rest and breathing, nutrition and exercise, whilst staying connected and helping others around us to do the same.
The programme is set out over six weeks, as we know it can take several weeks for habits to change. It starts with small steps and will build slowly to help our people achieve long-term healthy habits that are right for them and take control of the different aspects of their personal health for their future.
We’ll introduce a different theme every week and, alongside providing continual guidance and support through each topic, we’ll also kick-start each week by offering our people the opportunity to join live sessions with health and wellness professionals to talk us through everything from good nutrition and healthy lifestyle habits, to boosting our energy and best meditation practice.
